Aldi grocery store being built in Peoria

A long-awaited Aldi grocery store is being built at a new shopping center in Peoria’s rapidly growing north end.

The 8.5-acre complex, dubbed Sunrise Promenade, has already opened a drive-thru coffee shop and a boxing gym for women, which has temporarily closed under Gov. Doug Ducey’s latest executive order.

Despite signs that Aldi’s plans in the Valley were dragging, this Aldi could open by the end of this year.
