CG RV park advances

CASA GRANDE — A proposed RV park in Casa Grande was narrowly approved by a city planning panel after neighboring residents complained about the project.

The Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission approved by a 3-2 vote a trio of zoning changes to allow an RV and mobile home park with an RV storage area for a 57-acre parcel near Casa Grande Avenue and Kortsen and Silver Reef roads.

The item drew a number of comments from neighbors at the commission meeting last Thursday who pointed out that there were problems with flooding and traffic on Casa Grande Avenue and Kortsen Road. They also objected to having a second mobile home and RV park built so close to their homes.
