The Gold Canyon Golf Resort & Spa has sold for $29.4 million.

GCG Holdings LLC (a consortium from Canada) sold the golf resort to Gold Canyon MJ LLC. (Marvin and Marge Klinker).

Walter Unger with West USA Realty / Commercial Division represented the seller. Unger was the only Broker involved in the transaction.

The 370-acre property has two championship golf courses, a hotel and spa with 97 casitas as well as conference and wedding facilities. The property also has 67 acres of developable land.

Unger said the buyer will start building 49 new townhouses which are already approved for development. Unger said the new owners will also look to move forward with other development plans at the property.

Unger listed the property for sale last year. It is located in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains.
