Peoria development could bring face-lift to Grand Ave

A stretch of Grand Avenue near Old Town Peoria could get a face-lift as city officials pave the way for a new mixed-use project.

The potential project, called Peoria Place, sits on 125 acres south of Grand Avenue at Cotton Crossing near Old Town Peoria and the Peoria Municipal Complex. Plans tout a mix of uses, from commercial and residential buildings to a business park and the forthcoming Valleywise Comprehensive Health Center, that could bring high-paying jobs to Peoria’s historic core.
