Gilbert to adjust infrastructure deal for new homes

By Mike Sunncks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Gilbert Town Council is considering adjusting a development agreement with Maracay Homes for the Hamstra Dairy subdivision at Chandler Heights and Val Vista Drive.

The Council is considering changes to how the town and builder are paying for $600,000 for roadway and infrastructure improvements at and adjacent to the 160-acre property.

The project will widen Val Vista to three lanes adjacent to the development. Bike lanes will be added. Median strips, curbs, sidewalks, traffic signals and storm water retention will be improved.

The development deal was originally approved earlier this year.
At build out the subdivision could have as many as 331 single family homes
