The Chandler City Council is considering development plans for a new 33,000-square-foot indoor rock climbing and fitness facility with 52-foot high walls.

Arches Climbing + Fitness wants to build the facility at the Watermark development at Gilbert and Ryan Roads.

Arches’ plans call for indoor climbing walls totaling 12,000 square feet and 62-foot tall building.

The Chandler City Council looked at zoning requests and preliminary development plans for the project during its Monday study session and could vote on the project on Thursday.
