The Scottsdale City Council has approved a $220,075 contract with Fucello Architects for the modernization of the city’s Police & Fire Training Facility and the design of a new $18.3 million training center for fire fighters.
Scottsdale-based Fucello beat out 13 other architectural and design firms and three other finalists for the city projects.

Scottsdale’s Police & Fire Training Facility is located at Curry Road and Stadem Drive.

The new Scottsdale Fire Department training facility and improving the existing training center were part of the Scottsdale bond measures approved by voters last November.

The voter approved bond investments include the new $18.3 million center as well as $1.9 million to replace the vehicle training track and $4.23 million in other improvements at the existing training facility.

Fucello Architects has done previous design and architectural work for the City of Scottsdale including improvements at WestWorld and the Tom’s Thumb Trailhead at the Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
