Eight Arizona billionaires on Forbes’ latest list of richest Americans

Eight Arizonans appear on Forbes’ latest list of the 400 richest people in America, and more than half of them saw their wealth increase during a year marked by the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Of that group, Carvana founder Ernest Garcia II and his son, Carvana CEO and co-founder Earnest Garcia III were the wealthiest, with net worths of $9.6 billion and $4.2 billion, respectively. That’s a jump from $5.7 billion and $2.3 billion, respectively, in 2019.
