The Glendale Planning Commission gave the thumbs-up Sept. 3 to a variety of projects, including one that would bring another hotel and more shops near Desert Diamond Casino West Valley.
The commission approved Palermo, at Northern and 87th avenues, to increase its plan from 27 homes to 46. Glendale City Council will have the final say on the matter.
According to a representative of the developer, “Having nearby housing is really important” due to job growth in the area, particularly Desert Diamond Casino West Valley.
