Maricopa Community Colleges to help Gilbert with business assistance, job training services

The Gilbert Town Council will vote today on a $150,000 deal with the Maricopa Community Colleges to provide business technical assistance and job training services.

The money is from the CARES Act in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and a $568,026 Community Block Grant Gilbert received from the federal efforts.

The town issued a request for proposals for business assistance and job training services. The Maricopa Community College District has been deemed the top bidder by city staff and local business leaders including at the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. There were 9 bids submitted.
