A 320-acre sports and entertainment complex will break ground in Mesa on Friday.
Legacy Sports Park anticipates it will draw more than 3 million visitors annually, add 1,500 jobs and generate hundreds of millions of dollars in direct economic impact to the Valley. Developers say it will be the largest privately-owned multi-sport facility in the U.S.
The park will be at Ellsworth and Pecos roads, just east of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
