Mesa to vote on Cannon Beach water park, mixed-use

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Mesa City Council is slated to consider development plans for a large water park and mixed-use project at Warner and Power Roads.

The proposed Cannon Beach project includes a wave lagoon and plans for a hotel, restaurants, offices, industrial/flex space and parking garages.

The development is proposed by Power 17 LLC and Power 40 LLC. Both are based in Utah, according to Arizona Corporation Commission filings. Kyle Bateman is listed as corporate manager for both entities.

The Mesa City Council is being asked to rezone 59 acres for the project at its Sept. 21 meeting.

The land is currently zoned for agricultural use.
