Updated plans filed for $150M Old Town redevelopment

Updated development and design plans have been filed in Scottsdale for a $150 million development project in Old Town.

Utah-basedPEG Companies has submitted additional plans with the City ofScottsdale for its redevelopment plans near Indian School Road, Scottsdale Road and Marshall Way.

PEG wants to redevelop three parcels which are now home to the HowardJohnson/Old Town, The Venue and the Ralph ‘Haver Triangle Building’.

The parcels total 3.87 acres.Plans call for a new 168-room boutique hotel The developer also plans on preserving the Haver Triangle Building. PEG is asking for a rezoning of the properties and for a maximum height of 96 feet.

Current zoning allows for 60 feet.Plans call for 230 ‘luxury residential’ units and 120,000 square feet of commercial space including a 168-room hotel with a rooftop swimming pool and fitness center. The redevelopment request asks Scottsdale for a zoning district map amendment.

Gensler is the architect for the proposed Old Town Scottsdale project.
