Mesquite Mountain is ‘leapfrog’ project

The project that could become part of a community facility district in Surprise is pushing the city’s western edge of development.

Mesquite Mountain Ranch, which is planned at Sun Valley Parkway between 219th and 227th avenues, is a 666-lot project that is five miles outside the nearest city development.

Near the planned Ana Mandera development, it needs road improvements and to satisfy city leaders that it can adequately provide police and fire service so far out.
