New Popeye’s restaurant planned in East Valley

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

A new Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen fast food restaurant is being proposed in Mesa.

The location is on Gilbert Road just south of Southern Avenue in the East Valley. The property totals 1.23 acres.

The restaurant will be located as a stand-alone 2,971-square foot building on an outlying parcel of an existing shopping center.

Global New Millennium Partners Limited is proposing the restaurant and has submitted site review plans with the city of Mesa.

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board will look at the plans at its Wednesday, Oct. 28, meeting. An existing vacant building on the site will be demolished to allow for parking.
