Scottsdale to vote on new gymnastics gym

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Scottsdale City Council will vote on rezoning a 1.1-acre site near Granite Reef Road and McDonald Road for the development a new gymnastics gym.

The property has been home to the Mardi Gras Costume Shop. Plans call for a new gymnastics center at the property.

The Scottsdale City Council is being asked to rezone the property from mixed-use to commercial to allow for the new use.

The current owners of the property —

Candace and Donald Matteson Revocable Trust — also have plans to sell the property to Chad Klock and Robin Schaffers  who want to develop the gymnastics business.

The Scottsdale council is scheduled to vote on the zoning change for the property at its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 20.
