Three days before Christmas in 2006, Laurie Herman of Surprise Farms saw her life change instantly when she was critically injured in a head-on car crash.
“I had my first seizure right there in our vehicle,” said Ms. Herman, who lived out of state at the time. “It was the first of thousands over the years.”
She would feel tremors for hours after the seizures.
Doctors prescribed her multiple drugs over the years but only one called lamictal helped.
