Auction postponed for huge chunk of north Phoenix land

An Arizona State Land Department auction to sell 1,128 acres of land in north Phoenix has been postponed until December.

The land, which is part of a larger, 3,500 acre parcel, is the likely landing place for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd.’s $12 billion plant, multiple sources with knowledge of the deal confirmed in October to the Phoenix Business Journal. The land, which is currently owned by the state, had been set for a Nov. 2 auction, but is now scheduled to be auctioned on Dec. 9 for a minimum of $89 million.
