Chandler looks at code, ordinance changes after voters legalize marijuana

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Arizona voters’ approval of a ballot measure legalizing marijuana for recreational use is compelling local governments to revise their ordinances related to smoking and cannabis.

The Chandler City Council will talk to city attorneys on Monday, Nov. 23, about how and where the city codes and ordinances need to be revised.

The council and attorneys will meet privately and in executive session to discuss the potential changes.

Other cities and towns across the state and Valley are going through similar processes after voters approved the marijuana measure.
