CASA GRANDE — The city will no longer see construction anytime soon of a proposed gasoline plant that would have generated over 2,000 jobs, officials say.
Back in March the Houston-based company Nacero announced plans to build a $3.3 billion plant in Casa Grande to convert natural gas to gasoline. The company originally planned to start construction on the plant in 2021 and have it completed by 2025.
However, according to a statement from City Manager Larry Rains, the city team received a notice from Nacero representatives of their decision to reprioritize the order of building plants weeks ago.
