By CBS 3 aired November 4, 2020

“It’s symptomatic of a changing mood across the nation and state that marijuana is no longer taboo as it used to be,” said Adam Trenk, Rose Law Group Cannabis Department Director.

There will be a 16 percent tax going towards several things across Arizona like community colleges, roads and infrastructure, and public services like police and fire.

“It’s opening a whole new industry in the state. We have just under 100 medical marijuana dispensaries and the law allows each of those to become recreational plus another 40-45 or so recreational stores,” Trenk said.

Smoking in public is going to remain prohibited. There will also be a zero tolerance policy for driving under the influence.
