Will Glendale catch Gilbert in population

A preliminary estimate at one time had Glendale within range of reaching Gilbert in terms of population, yet it appears that won’t be the case when the 2020 U.S. Census data are in.

“In the Census Bureau’s estimates for 2019, Gilbert had 1,733 more people than Glendale,” Connie Weber, director of public relations for the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity, shared in an email to The Glendale Independent.

Data are published under “Annual Estimates of the Resident Population for Incorporated Places: April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2019.”
