Aid for renters running out

Aid for metro Phoenix renters who face losing their homes is running out as the end of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eviction ban looms and the latest federal stimulus package remains stalled in Washington, D.C.

Maricopa County has stopped taking applications for its $30 million rental aid fund because the money is spent.

About $11 million is left in other programs funded by CARES Act money to help Phoenix-area renters.
