Arizona’s congressional Republicans still silent on who won White House

None of Arizona’s Republicans in Congress has acknowledged that Joe Biden is the president-elect, more than a month after the presidential election ended and days after the Electoral College formalized the results.

Reps. Andy Biggs, Paul Gosar, Debbie Lesko [currently in quarantine for the second time] and David Schweikert didn’t respond to inquiries by The Arizona Republic on the matter. On social media and in conservative outlets, they have alluded to a lingering need to monitor Biden, continued to support efforts to thwart what they view as a stolen election and simply talked about other issues.

Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump seems to remain conspicuously off limits.  

The GOP reticence is hardly confined to Arizonans.
