Birdcall bringing kiosk-focused, art-heavy restaurant to Scottsdale

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Birdcall, a Denver-based restaurant chain that features fried chicken sandwiches with a heavy focus on technology, and cool art, has submitted plans for a  new Scottsdale location.

Birdcall has plans to take over a former El Pollo Loco location at 7204 East Shea Boulevard.

That is near Scottsdale Road in one of the prime commercial areas in the state.

The restaurant location totals 2,995 square feet and will seat 105, according to plans submitted with the City of Scottsdale.

Birdcall is asking Scottsdale to approve site plans, landscaping plans and a mural  at the new Arizona locations.

The company’s business model puts a big focus on customers using self-service kiosks.

Design firm Zebra Projects Inc. has submitted the plans for the Birdcall renovations to the restaurant space.

This will be the Colorado chain’s first Arizona location.
