Developers look to roll strikes near Peoria bowling alley

On Google Maps, the intersection of 83rd and Olive avenues looks pretty dull.

The map shows Circle K on the southeast corner, nothing on the other three corners, though a Valero gas station is near the northwest corner. On the southwest side, there is empty space from the corner to the AMF Peoria Lanes bowling alley.

That is about to change, as developers are looking to roll strikes on every corner.

The biggest project is Empire Village at Pioneer Park, a massive development that is soon to be just a gutter ball away from the bowling alley.

According to the developer’s preliminary plan, “Village at Pioneer Park will contain an approximately 332-unit, one-story, predominantly detached residential development that will be an attractive presence in the area.”
