Gilbert asked to rezone for new townhouses

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Gilbert Town Council is looking at rezoning 14.5 acres near the southwest corner of Lindsay Road and Germann Road to allow for a new townhouse development.

The property is currently an office park.

The council will consider at its Dec. 1 meeting whether to rezone the East Valley property to multifamily designation.

The property is owned by Nothum Properties LP. Plans call for a 207-unit townhouse development for the property.

The owners said the current business park sits on a cul-de-sac which has created visibility and access challenges for attracting office tenants.
