Scottsdale to bid on state trust land

The City of Scottsdale plans to bid on seven acres of state trust land in northern Scottsdale to pave the way for new sports fields and special event parking approved by voters in 2019.

The land, which straddles Thompson Peak Parkway just east of WestWorld, is set to go to auction on Dec. 28 with a starting bid of $1.15 million.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit Arizona’s public schools.
