A new boutique hotel is being proposed in Old Town Scottsdale.

Plans have been filed with the City of Scottsdale for a new 50-room hotel on Osborn Drive near Drinkwater Boulevard (7321 East Osborn Drive).

Jay Olson owns the 1.76-acre property. It has been home to a 7,000-square-foot medical office building and the city previously approved a new commercial office building on the property.

Now, architecture firm Gerald R. Kesler Inc. has submitted new plans with Scottsdale for a boutique hotel.

Scottsdale is being asked for site plan approvals for a new 30,634-square-foot building and 652-square-foot portico.

Plans call for a spa and sundeck as well as fitness center on the second floor of the proposed 3-story building.
