Construction sales tax eyed closely by Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley is watching potential legislation swirling around construction sales tax — one of the town’s relied-upon cash cows.

In 2020, the town accrued a reported $7.6 million in construction sales tax — the years prior ranged from $4.3 million in 2017 to $5.7 million in 2019.

Paradise Valley, which boasts a residential community sans property tax, depends upon a handful of taxes to fund municipal needs.
