The Coyotes will host a limited number of fans for their season opener on Jan. 14 against the San Jose Sharks and Arizona’s other five home games in the month, the team announced Wednesday.
Following a recent approval from the City of Glendale that allows 25% capacity, a maximum of 3,450 fans will be allowed for all six home games in January.
“The health and safety of our fans, players, coaches, and staff has been our top priority throughout this process and we are looking forward to beginning the season with a limited capacity of seating for our fans,” Coyotes president and CEO Xavier Gutierrez said in a press release Wednesday. “We have been working diligently with the City of Glendale, state and federal authorities, medical experts and the NHL to ensure that we have a safe environment at Gila River Arena.
