A few months after winning election to his first full term on the Surprise City Council, Patrick Duffy was selected Jan. 19 as the new vice mayor of the city.
The District 3 councilman was unanimously chosen by Mayor Skip Hall and the rest of the council to serve as Hall’s No.2 for the next year.
“I just hope I don’t screw it up,” Mr. Duffy joked near the end of his first meeting in his new position.
