The year of the pandemic proved to be difficult for many industries in Peoria, but housing was not one of them.
A number of new housing records were set in 2020, ranging from highest ever monthly and annual sales price per square foot to highest ever average price for monthly and annual sales, according to Cromford Report, which analyzes the housing industry in Maricopa County.
Most recent data show Phoenix-area home sales were up 1.68% during the third quarter compared with the previous quarter, placing the region third in the nation behind New York and San Diego, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index.
