Improving WestWorld’s horse barns and other facilities were part of a Scottsdale  bond program approved by city voters in 2019.

WestWorld is one of the top equestrian facilities in the U.S. It is managed and operated by the city of Scottsdale.

The Scottsdale City Council will vote on Jan. 12 on awarding a new contract for improvements to the WestWorld’s horse barns.

The council will vote on approving a $284,085 contract to hire Caruso Construction Inc. as the design build manager for pre-construction for the improvements.

The project will rebuild the ten oldest equestrian barns at WestWorld. They were first built in the 1980s and need replacing. They are not currently being used or rented out because of their poor condition.
