SimonCRE makes big investment in SE Valley shopping center

SimonCRE, a Scottsdale-based commercial real estate development and acquisition company, has purchased a 13.5 acre shopping center in San Tan Valley and is planning to invest $20 million to expand the project.

Located on the southeast corner of Ocotillo and Ironwood roads in the Southeast Valley, the center already is home to a number of well-known tenants including Walgreens, Ace Hardware and McDonald’s. SimonCRE is looking to add more tenants with its multimillion-dollar expansion and upgrades. A 22,000-square-foot box for a Goodwill location is already planned to be built, and Simon has plans for another 20,000 square-foot box to be built next to it.
