Battling the fallout of a worldwide pandemic that touched everybody, good riddance to 2020 has been a common rallying cry for many.
The year 2020 in Peoria was no cake walk.
Residents experienced a city shutdown for many departments, a local economy and business community battered with closures and revenue reductions, and a school district besieged with opposing viewpoints on when schools should be closed based on health metrics.
But bluer skies are ahead for 2021, and in Peoria there are many things to look forward to in the coming year.
