280 apartments planned for Camino a Lago in north Peoria

A 280-unit gated, multifamily residential community is on track for 14 acres at the Camino a Lago Marketplace near the southeast corner of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road.

The project encountered some opposition from the surrounding community, but the applicant has worked with residents to address a number of their concerns.

The Peoria City Council unanimously approved the project Feb. 16.
