Cozying up to Costco in Surprise

Since Costco announced its intent to build in Surprise, it has been easier for officials and staff to sell the city.

The Prasada area’s new anchor, which opened in September 2020, is causing developers to buy in so they can sell in the city. And name-brand fast food restaurants are lining up to fill in the rest of the available spaces at Waddell and Sarival.

City Councilmen Patrick Duffy and Jack Hastings both touted several dining options interested in the nearby property in their February district newsletters. Whataburger has submitted for development review and other proposed vendors include Arby’s, Black Rock Coffee, Jersey Mike’s and Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade.
