Goodyear special election 2021: A voters guide

Goodyear voters will have a lot to sift through in the city’s March 9 election.

Ballots were mailed Feb. 10 for the all-mail election that asks voters to decide on 10 measures to change the city charter, such as how city elected leaders approve their own pay raises, fill vacancies and represent voters.

A Citizens Charter Review Commission, assembled by the City Council, recommended numerous changes to the charter, which serves as the city’s constitution.

Ballots will be mailed to every registered Goodyear voter, and should be mailed back by March 1 to ensure it arrives by election day. The city will have one in-person voting location and two ballot drop-off locations.
