New lighting eyed for downtown Glendale

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The City of Glendale is looking at bringing new lighting to its downtown area.

The Glendale City Council will be updated and asked for guidance on a project to install new lighting on Glendale Avenue between 58th Drive and 58th Avenue.

Cafe lighting could be installed across streets to help add ambiance to the downtown area.

Glendale is looking at a $221,000 budget for the potential project.  The city has been working with Arizona-based Creative Designs in Lighting on the Creative Designs in Lighting on the effort.

The budget for the program could total $221,000.

The Glendale council will be briefed on the project at its Feb. 23 meeting.
