North Peoria is a big step closer to adding nearly 300 luxury apartments.
The Peoria City Council on Tuesday unanimously voted to rezone a piece of land on the southeast corner of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road where a 280-unit apartment complex, dubbed The Place at Camino A Lago, is planned.
The proposed development is in the Camino A Lago Marketplace shopping complex, which includes a Walmart Supercenter, restaurants and local bars.
