The spring after impeachment

By Phil Riske | Senior Reporter/Writer

March 20 is the first day of spring, a time for renwal.

Yet the coming  season of planting, blooming and spring-cleaning will be marked by continued  post-impeachment clashes nationallly and in Arizona.

Perhaps this spring should be a call to not necessarily ignore politics, but look at partisan “fights” in cooler, less strident ways.

So many need to chill.

And warm in the spring sun.

While Trump and his acolytes seek revenge on their enemies, pledge you’ll plant your garden.

As certain Arizona legislators continue to attack state elections laws, wearing masks or not, let’s pledge to plant trees or beautify our property in some remarkable way.

Life never promised us a rose garden when it comes to being governed.

But you could plant one, while the thorns in our government look not to spring but to election days.

America needs fresh air.
