CASA GRANDE — Despite a year marked by a pandemic, Mayor Craig McFarland and other leaders from the community gave a virtual broadcast for the State of the City address on Wednesday afternoon.

“It’s hard to imagine that it was a year ago that we began to deal with COVID-19,” Mayor Craig McFarland said. Nearly a year ago, the City declared a state of an emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“We’ve all endured a level of hardship and loss,” McFarland said.

The broadcast featured updates from Deputy City Manager Steven Weaver, Public Works Director Kevin Louis, and Community Service Director Steve Hardesty.
