Republicans at the state level have moved swiftly to either roll back some easy access to voting or put new obstacles in the way of voters following losses in the 2020 presidential and US Senate elections.
More than 250 bills to curb or complicate access to polls have been introduced in state legislatures, according to the Brennan Center for Justice. So this is an issue nationwide, particularly in the majority of states in which Republicans control all parts of the state government.
