OPINION: Arizona didn’t send Sen. Kyrsten Sinema to Washington to be a potted plant. Her constant call for bipartisanship, though welcome, isn’t an excuse to do nothing.

With a Senate showdown on the filibuster looming, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is sitting on the hotseat. Or is that the catbird seat where she’s currently perched?
Democrats are about to put the squeeze on Sinema, forcing her to take a front-and-center role in what the Biden administration will be able to accomplish in the next two years.
She can continue making like a brick wall, refusing to budge on ending the filibuster and watching as key Democratic priorities like boosting the minimum wage and reforming election and immigration laws slam up against her until they turn to dust.
