Lucid Motors CEO sees no threat from Apple’s rumored electric-car plans

Lucid Motors Inc. CEO Peter Rawlinson boasted on Tuesday that electric cars like those his company will produce will eventually fill the automotive market and he isn’t worried about rumors that Apple Inc. has one on the way.

“There’s always room for new entries,” the former chief engineer at Tesla Inc. said in an appearance on CNBC’s “Mad Money,” saying the market for electric vehicles is huge. “There’s no such thing as an EV market. This is a market for cars and EVs will penetrate and completely fill that.”
