Progressive Pipe Fabricators is building a new 84,000-square-foot fabrication facility on Historic Route 66 in Kingman.
Progressive Pipe is a division of Shambaugh & Sons.
The production operation will create 60 jobs and manufacture 20,000 individual sprinkler pipes per week.
“It’s wonderful that 60 new jobs will become available. Companies are becoming more aware of what our county offers and we’re truly excited by the arrival of Progressive Pipe Fabricators, a Shambaugh & Sons division,” said Mohave County Economic Development Director Tami Ursenbach.
The facility is under construction and slated to open in the fall.
The Arizona Commerce Authority also helped land the jobs and business investment.
“”Shambaugh’s selection of Kingman reflects the quality of talent in the region and its competitiveness for high-value industries like manufacturing,” said Sandra Watson, Arizona Commerce Authority president and CEO. “This significant investment is excellent news, not just for Kingman, but all of Mohave County. We congratulate Shambaugh on its continued growth and thank the company for its commitment to Arizona.”
Shambaugh & Sons COO, National Fire Protection, Rob Vincent said the Arizona investment helps expand his company’s footprint.
“By expanding our fabrication capabilities throughout the United States, our new shop will now serve a much larger geographic area. What’s even more exciting is that while we’re expanding our reach, we’re simultaneously bolstering our sustainability efforts by reducing fuel consumption and improving speed to market,” Vincent said.
