Scottsdale, Paradise Valley officials seek short-term rental solutions

While the Arizona Legislature considers potential bills addressing short-term rentals, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley are doing all they can to push change and wrest local control from the hold Airbnb and Vrbo have on neighborhoods.

With numerous 911 calls and police reports to lean on, the Paradise Valley Police Department released a 7-minute video illustrating its view on short-term rentals.

Just a couple days later, neighboring municipality Scottsdale, which stands aside Paradise Valley in the short-term rental battle, has set in motion plans to create a resident task force to evaluate the impact of short-term rentals.
