Why Mesa was chosen for electric vehicle production facility

The Valley’s value proposition, which included financial incentives, a prime location with easy access to West Coast markets, the workforce and emerging electric vehicle industry helped Mesa edge out Nashville for an assembly facility for ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp.

“In Tennessee, they were very competitive too, it was a very close second,” company CEO Paul Rivera said. “At the end, the whole offer that came from Arizona was the best overall proposal, including the land, the building itself, the location and the workforce.”
