Auctions for potential Samsung sites postponed

The Arizona State Land Department auctions that were to be held Wednesday for two sites that had been identified as potential landing spots for Samsung’s $17 billion plant were postponed to May 19 after no bidders bid on the land at either auction.

The sites, a 1,100-acre site in Goodyear and a 946-acre site in Queen Creek were both recently designated foreign trade zones and rezoned for employment uses.
